French-Toasted Ham And Cheese

  1. In cup, stir marmalade and mustard until mixed.
  2. Set aside. Cut ham slices to fit on half of the bread slice; cut cheese slices to fit on top of ham, then top with a dollop of marmalade mixture and another bread slice.
  3. Preheat oven to 450u0b0.
  4. In 15 1/2 x 10 1/2-inch jellyroll pan, melt butter; remove pan from oven. In pie plate with fork, beat milk and egg until mixed.
  5. Dip sandwiches, one at a time, into egg mixture to coat all sides. Place sandwiches in one layer in jellyroll pan.
  6. Bake until sandwiches are golden brown on both sides, or about 20 minutes, turning once.
  7. Cut each sandwich in half.
  8. Serve hot.
