Homemade Chai Tea

  1. 1. Boil milk and water in a medium-sized pot (note: watch carefully because the milk can suddenly boil over and you can end up with a messy stove like I did).
  2. Tip: Tie the teabags to a wooden spoon and set aside.
  3. 2. In a small food processor, grind the cinnamon, cloves, ginger, cardamom, nutmeg, brown sugar and black pepper.
  4. 3. Once milk and water has boiled, add the spice mixture, honey, and the spoon with the tea bags tied to it. Boil again.
  5. 4. Turn the heat off and steep the tea bags for 3-5 minutes. Then remove the spoon with the tea bags attached.
  6. 5. Filter chai tea by pouring it into a bowl through fine strainer. Enjoy!
