Apple Cookies
- 2 cups Flour
- 1 cup Oats
- 1 teaspoon Allspice
- 1/2 teaspoons Baking Powder
- 1 teaspoon Baking Soda
- 1/4 teaspoons Salt
- 1/2 cups Crisco Shortening
- 1 cup Sugar
- 1 Egg
- 1 cup Unsweetened Applesauce
- 1/2 cups Raisins
- 1/2 cups Pecans, Chopped
- Preheat the oven to 375u0b0F.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, oats, allspice, baking powder, baking soda and salt.
- In another mixing bowl, cream the shortening and the sugar. Add the egg and the applesauce. Add the flour mixture and mix well. Incorporate the raisins and the chopped pecans.
- Drop the dough by tablespoonfuls onto a parchment paper-lined cookie sheet.
- Bake for 11-15 minutes or until the cookies are golden.
