Gingerbread Granola
- 4 cups Rolled Oats
- 3/4 cups Wheat Germ
- 1/2 cups Sunflower Seeds
- 1 cup Almonds, Chopped
- 1 cup Walnuts, Chopped
- 1 cup Pecans, Chopped
- 1/2 cups Flax Seed
- 1/4 cups Brown Sugar
- 3/4 teaspoons Salt
- 1/4 cups Maple Syrup
- 1/2 cups Honey
- 1/2 cups Canola Oil
- 1/2 cups Applesauce
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla
- 2 teaspoons Cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon Ginger
- 1 cup White Chocolate Chips
- Preheat oven to 300 F. In a large bowl combine the dry ingredients (oats through flax seed).
- In a saucepan, combine brown sugar, salt, syrup, honey, oil, applesauce, vanilla, cinnamon and ginger. Bring to a boil over medium heat then pour it over the dried ingredients stirring to coat.
- Spread granola on a large baking sheet that you've covered in foil. Bake in a 300 F oven for about 25 minutes, stirring halfway through the bake time. Remove pan from the oven and let granola cool completely before adding chocolate chips.
