Jack Daniels Chocolate Pecan Pie
- 1 whole Pie Crust, Prepared But Unbaked
- 3 Tablespoons Butter
- 3 whole Eggs
- 1 cup Sugar
- 3/4 cups Light Corn Syrup
- 1/2 teaspoons Vanilla Extract
- 3 Tablespoons Jack Daniel's Whiskey
- 1/4 teaspoons Salt
- 2 ounces, weight Semi-sweet Chocolate
- 1-3/4 cup Pecan Halves
- Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F.
- Roll out the pastry and fit it into your pie pan, fluting the edges.
- Heat the butter in the microwave for just a few seconds until almost melted.
- In a mixing bowl, beat the eggs until frothy. Add the sugar, corn syrup, vanilla, whiskey, salt and the almost-melted butter.
- Chop the chocolate coarsely, and place it into the pie pastry along with the pecans.
- Pour the filling over the top and bake at 350u0b0F for about 45 minutes. Keep an eye on the crust and cover the edges with foil if it begins to get too brown. For some reason I always have this problem.
- Cool completely before cutting.
- Delicious! Serves 6-8.
