Shanghai Casserole
- 1 1/2 lb. ground beef
- 1 Tbsp. salad oil
- 1 c. chopped onion
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 2 c. celery slices
- 1 c. condensed cream of mushroom soup
- 1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen mixed vegetables, thawed
- 2 c. cooked rice
- 2 Tbsp. soy sauce
- 2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. pepper
- 1 (3 oz.) can chow mein noodles
- Brown
- meat
- in hot oil.
- Add onion, garlic and celery; cook until
- tender.
- Stir in soup, thawed vegetable, rice and seasoning.turn
- into
- greased
- 2 1/2 quart casserole.
- Cover and bake in moderate oven at 350u0b0 for 25 minutes.
- Uncover and sprinkle with chow mein noodles;
- return
- to
- oven for about 5 minutes.
- Makes 6 to 8 servings.
