Corn And Green Bean Casserole
- 2 1/4 c. frozen white corn (cream-style)
- 3 c. green beans (French-style or small snaps)
- 1/2 c. chopped onions
- 1/2 c. chopped celery
- 1/2 c. chopped bell pepper
- 2 Tbsp. margarine, melted
- 1/2 c. shredded cheese
- 1 can cream of celery soup
- 1/2 c. sour cream
- dash of salt
- 1/8 tsp. pepper
- 1/2 c. cracker crumbs
- 1 Tbsp. margarine, melted
- Drain beans.
- Thaw corn and mix.
- Saute onions and green pepper in the 2 tablespoons margarine until tender.
- Combine this with corn, beans, cheese, soup, sour cream, salt and pepper.
- Stir well and spoon into a greased 2-quart casserole.
- Combine cracker crumbs and 1 tablespoon melted margarine.
- Stir well and sprinkle over casserole.
- Bake at 350u0b0 for 45 minutes to 1 hour.
- Cover to bake until the last few minutes of cooking time.
- In order to brown top, uncover.
- This serves 6 to 8 people.
