Edible Bird’S Nests
- 1 cup Sweetened, Flaked Coconut
- 12 ounces, weight Milk Chocolate Chips
- 3 cups All Bran Breakfast Cereal
- 27 pieces Egg-shaped Candies
- Set oven to broil. Place the coconut on an ungreased cookie sheet. Set in the oven and watch carefully as the coconut gets toasty brown (about 5 minutes). Remove from the oven and let cool.
- Pour milk chocolate chips in a microwave safe bowl. Heat at 30-second increments, stirring after each 30 second increment, until chocolate is melted (about 2 minutes).
- Stir the All-Bran cereal into the melted chocolate. You may need to add more cereal to get the right consistency. Mixture should be not too runny and not too firm but still shape-able.
- Place a large spoonful of chocolate "twigs" into a lightly greased muffin tin and shape with spoon to make a "nest".
- Let nests set until firm. Assemble the nest by layering with toasted coconut and candy eggs.
