Stuffed Green Peppers

  1. Remove tops and seeds from peppers.
  2. In a large kettle, bring water to a boil.
  3. Cook peppers for 5 minutes.
  4. Remove and drain. Cook rice according to package directions.
  5. In a skillet brown beef and onion.
  6. Drain.
  7. Add tomato sauce, herbs, salt and pepper. Cook 5 minutes.
  8. Stir in rice.
  9. Stuff peppers with rice mixture. Place upright in shallow pan (baking dish).
  10. Bake at 375u0b0 for 15 or 20 minutes.
  11. Yields 5 to 6 servings.
  12. Leftover peppers will freeze well.
