Curried Chick Peas
- 2 Tablespoons Ghee (Clarified Butter) Or Coconut Oil
- 3 cloves Garlic, Minced
- 1 Tablespoon Curry Powder Or Masala Powder
- 2 cups Cooked Or Canned Chickpeas
- 1/4 cups Packed Cilantro
- 1 teaspoon Coarse Ground Sea Salt To Taste
- 1 whole Lime
- Heat the ghee (or oil) in a frying pan or wok over medium heat. Brown the minced garlic till slightly crispy (but not burned). Spoon out the garlic and place on a paper towel.
- Add the curry powder to the ghee and fry for about 30 seconds, stirring constantly. Turn up the heat to medium-high and add the chick peas. Fry till hot and some are slightly darkened. Remove from heat. Now add the fried garlic, cilantro, and coarse sea salt and a squeeze of lime. Toss and serve.
- More options: Add some yogurt after cooking for a creamy flavo. You can also add this chick pea dish to a salad.
