Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookies
- 1/2 cups Unsalted Butter Or Margarine, Softened
- 1/2 cups Shortening
- 3/4 cups Brown Sugar, Packed
- 3/4 cups Sugar
- 2 teaspoons Vanilla Extract
- 1 whole Egg
- 1 whole Egg Yolk
- 2-1/4 cups Flour
- 1 teaspoon Baking Soda
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- 1-1/2 cup Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips
- Preheat oven to 350u0b0F.
- In a large mixing bowl, cream together margarine, shortening, brown sugar and sugar. Mix in vanilla, egg and egg yolk until combined. Add flour, baking soda and salt and mix on low speed until just incorporated. Stir in chocolate chips.
- Drop by tablespoonfuls onto a large cookie sheet (preferably lined with a silicone baking mat.) Bake 9-11 minutes or until edges and tops of cookies are just golden. Let rest on the cookie sheet 2 or 3 minutes before removing to a wire rack to cool completely.
