Caramel Pie

  1. 1. Remove the paper labels from the sweetened condensed milk cans. Place the UNOPENED cans into a large stock pot filled with water.
  2. 2. Bring to a boil. Boil the water hard for 3 hours. Be sure to check the water level often because it will evaporate. Add more water when nesessary.
  3. 3. Remove the cans with kitchen tongs, place them on a towel laid out on your counter. Allow the cans cool for 20-30 minutes. Don't forget to let them cool! If you open them right away, they will explode!
  4. 4. Open the cans with a can opener and scoop out the yummy, gooey caramel into a pre-made Oreo cookie crust. Refrigerate 12 hours or overnight.
  5. 5. Before serving, whip up the cream and spread over the caramel. In a pinch, you can always use Cool Whip.
  6. Enjoy!
