Great Pumpkin Cookies

  1. Preheat oven to 350u0b0.
  2. Combine flour, oats, baking soda, cinnamon and salt.
  3. Cream butter; gradually add sugars, beating until light and fluffy.
  4. Add egg and vanilla; mix well.
  5. Alternate additions of dry ingredients and pumpkin, mixing well after each addition.
  6. Stir in morsels.
  7. For each cookie, drop 1/4 cup dough to form stem.
  8. Bake 20 to 25 minutes until cookies are firm and lightly brown.
  9. Remove from cookie sheet; cool on racks.
  10. Decorate using icing or peanut butter to affix assorted candies, raisins or nuts.
  11. Yields 19 to 20 cookies.
