Linda’S Bars
- 1 cup Sugar
- 1 cup White Syrup
- 1-1/2 cup Smooth Jif Peanut Butter
- 4 cups Special K Cereal
- 1 cup Coconut
- 1 cup Salted Peanuts
- 1 cup Chocolate Chips
- 1 package Butterscoth Morsels (12 Oz)
- 1. Place cereal, coconut and peanuts in a large bowl; set aside. Butter a 15x10x2 inch pan (or cookie sheet) and set aside.
- 2. Place sugar and light corn syrup in a saucepan on medium heat. Stir until mixture comes to a rolling boil (a boil that can't be stirred down).
- 3. Add 1 1/2 c. peanut butter; stir well.
- 4. Pour over ingredients in bowl. Mix well. Pour into the buttered cookie sheet, and use buttered fingers to push mixture into the corners of the pan. Frost with the butterscotch and chocolate morsels that have been melted in the microwave until smooth.
- 5. Let cool completely and cut into bars.
