Cream Cheese Brownies
- FOR THE BROWNIES:
- 3/4 cups Unsweetened Cocoa Powder
- 1/2 teaspoons Baking Soda
- 2/3 cups Oil, Divided
- 1 cup Boiling Water
- 2 cups Sugar
- 2 whole Eggs
- 1-1/2 cup Whole Wheat Flour (or A Mix Of All-Purpose And Whole Wheat)
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla
- 1/2 teaspoons Salt

- FOR THE TOPPING:
- 6 ounces, weight Cream Cheese, Softened
- 1/2 cups Sugar
- 1/2 teaspoons Vanilla
- 1 whole Egg, Beaten
- 1. Preheat oven to 350F.
- 2. In large bowl, mix together cocoa powder and baking soda.
- 3. Blend in 1/3 cup of oil.
- 4. Add boiling water to cocoa mixture and stir until mixture thickens.
- 5. Stir in sugar, 2 eggs, and remaining 1/3 cup of oil. Stir until smooth.
- 6. Add flour, vanilla, and salt and stir until combined.
- 7. Pour into a 9x13 baking dish.
- 8. For cream cheese swirl topping, mix together cream cheese, 1/2 cup sugar, 1/2 teaspoon vanilla, and 1 egg.
- 9. Drop by spoonful on top of brownie batter and swirl into batter.
- 10. Bake 35-45 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean.
