Chia Pretzels
- 1 package Baker's Yeast, 0.25 Ounce Packet
- 1-1/3 cup Warm Water (100-110 Degrees F)
- 1/3 cups Brown Sugar
- 2 cups Wheat Flour
- 2 cups All-purpose Flour
- 3 Tablespoons Chia Seeds
- Preheat oven to 450 degrees F.
- In a large bowl, dissolve yeast in warm water. Once yeast is dissolved, add brown sugar and stir until dissolved. Add flours and continue to mix until combined (I used my hands once flour was moistened). Add more flour if dough is sticky (sticks to your fingers). Knead dough until smooth.
- Break dough into 14 even pieces. Roll out pieces into 8-10" strips. Twist into pretzel shapes and place on a baking sheet sprayed lightly with cooking spray. Use a pastry brush to brush water lightly onto each pretzel. Sprinkle each pretzel with chia seeds.
- Bake for 5-8 minutes, or until cooked through.
