Bavarian Cheesecake
- FOR THE CRUST:
- 1/2 teaspoons Vanilla
- 1/2 cups Butter
- 1/3 cups White Sugar
- 1 cup Flour

- FOR THE FILLING:
- 8 ounces, weight Cream Cheese
- 1/4 cups White Sugar
- 1 whole Egg
- 1/2 teaspoons Vanilla

- FOR THE TOPPING:
- 2 cups Sliced Apples (any Variety Will Do)
- 1/4 cups White Sugar
- 1 teaspoon Cinnamon
- 1/2 cups Walnuts
- Caramel Sauce (optional)
- Preheat oven to 375u0b0F
- For the crust:
- Mix together vanilla, butter and sugar in a small bowl. Beat until creamy and blended. Blend in flour (dough will be crumbly). Spread on bottom and up sides of a 9-inch springform pan.
- For the filling:
- Mix cream cheese and sugar together. Add vanilla and egg. Mix well. Spread evenly over crust.
- For the topping:
- Mix apples with sugar and cinnamon. Spoon over cream cheese. Sprinkle with walnuts.
- Bake for 45-55 minutes. Then remove from the oven and allow pan to cool for 10 minutes. Remove sides of pan and allow to cool completely. Top slices of cake with caramel sauce if desired.
