Chicken Stew
- 1 chicken, cut up
- 1 c. chopped onions
- 1 c. chopped celery
- 1/2 c. green pepper, chopped
- 3 or 4 cloves of garlic, chopped
- 1 can Cream of Mushroom soup
- 1 (15 oz.) can tomato sauce
- 1 (15 oz.) can whole tomatoes, cut up small
- 1 pkg. onion soup mix
- 1 (8 oz.) can mushrooms
- Cooked medium egg noodles
- Put cut-up chicken in a 6-8 quart saucepan.
- Just cover with water to boil.
- You can either boil the chicken until you can remove the meat off the bone, saving the broth, or you can add all the above ingredients to the whole cut-up chicken
- and cook for about 1 hour.
- After the chicken is cooked, remove the chicken and deboned it and return it to the pot and re-heat.
- Serve hot over cooked medium egg noodles.
