Fudge Brownies With Macadamia Nuts
- 4 Tablespoons Unsalted Butter
- 12 ounces, weight Semisweet Chocolate Chips, Divided
- 3/4 cups Granulated Sugar
- 2 whole Eggs
- 1 cup All-purpose Flour
- 1/4 teaspoons Salt
- 2/3 cups Chopped Macadamia Nuts Plus Additional 3 Tablespoons
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
- Preheat oven to 350u0b0F. Line an 8-inch square baking pan with nonstick foil; set aside.
- Place the butter and 1 cup of the chocolate chips in a large microwave safe bowl and microwave for 1 minute. Stir until smooth. Microwave for an additional 30 seconds, if needed to finish melting the chocolate.
- Whisk in sugar, then eggs. Stir in flour and salt until smooth. Fold in 2/3 cup of the macadamia nuts and the vanilla. Transfer batter to prepared pan.
- Bake for 25-29 minutes. Sprinkle remaining chocolate chips over brownies and return to oven for 2 minutes. Spread melted chips until smooth to form a "frosting". Top with remaining 3 tablespoons nuts. Refrigerate one hour to firm chocolate, then cut into squares.
