Mandarin Salad
- 1/2 packages Sliced Almonds
- 3 Tablespoons Sugar
- 1/2 heads Iceberg Lettuce, Torn
- 1/2 heads Romaine Or Redleaf Lettuce
- 1 cup Celery, Chopped
- 2 whole Green Onions, Sliced
- 11 ounces, weight Mandarin Orange Slices, Drained

- DRESSING INGREDIENTS
- 1/2 teaspoons Salt
- 1 dash Pepper
- 1/4 cups Vegetable Oil
- 1 Tablespoon Parsley, Chopped
- 2 Tablespoons Sugar
- 2 Tablespoons Vinegar
- 2 dashes Tabasco Sauce
- In a small skillet, toss almond slices in with 3 tablespoons sugar, stirring constantly until sugar dissolves and almonds have browned (watch closely to prevent burning). Place on a plate to cool.
- Toss both types of lettuce, celery, green onion slices, and mandarin orange slices together. Drizzle salad dressing over salad and serve.
- To make the dressing, combine the dressing ingredients in a jar or sealable container, shake and chill prior to pouring over salad.
