Chinese Broccoli (Gai Lan) With Oyster Sauce
- 2 Tablespoons Peanut Oil
- 1 teaspoon Minced Garlic
- 1/2 teaspoons Minced Ginger
- 1 pound Chinese Broccoli, Washed And Trimmed
- 1/2 cups Vegetable Stock (or Any Stock You Have On Hand)
- 3 Tablespoons Oyster Sauce
- 1/4 teaspoons Black Pepper
- 1/4 teaspoons Red Pepper Flakes
- Heat a wok or large skillet over medium heat and add oil. Add garlic and ginger and cook for 15 seconds. Add in broccoli and cook for 1 minute before pouring in vegetable stock. Cover and let simmer for 5 minutes or until broccoli is tender. Transfer broccoli to a plate.
- In a small bowl, whisk 1 tablespoon of the liquids from wok with oyster sauce, black pepper and red pepper flakes. Drizzle sauce over broccoli and serve warm.
