Ground Beef-Noodle Casserole
- 1 1/2 lb. ground chuck
- 1 medium onion, finely chopped
- salt, pepper and celery salt to taste
- 1 (5 oz.) pkg. large egg noodles
- 2 (6 oz.) cans tomato sauce
- oregano to taste
- 1 1/2 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
- In a skillet, cook ground chuck and onion until meat is browned and onion is tender.
- Drain.
- Season with salt, pepper and celery salt, mixing well.
- Return skillet to heat.
- Add tomato sauce and oregano.
- Reduce heat and let mixture simmer while noodles cook according to package directions.
- Drain cooked noodles; stir into meat mixture.
- Pour mixture into a greased shallow 10-inch casserole dish.
- Sprinkle with cheese.
- Bake at 350u0b0 for 10 to 15 minutes, until cheese melts.
- Makes 4 to 6 servings.
