Creamy Chocolate Pie

  1. In heavy saucepan over medium heat, melt chocolate with condensed milk and salt.
  2. Cook and stir until very thick and fudgy, 5 to 8 minutes.
  3. Add water.
  4. Cook and stir until thick and bubbly.
  5. Remove from heat.
  6. Add vanilla.
  7. Cool 15 minutes.
  8. Chill thoroughly, 20 to 30 minutes and then stir.
  9. In a large bowl, beat 1 cup of whipping cream until stiff.
  10. Fold into cooled chocolate mixture.
  11. Pour into prepared pastry shell.
  12. Chill 3 hours or until set.
  13. Garnish with additional whipped cream and shaved chocolate.
