Margarita Bars

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Line a 13 x 9 pan with foil and spray the foil with nonstick spray.
  2. Combine 1 1/2 cups flour with powdered sugar and pretzels in a large mixing bowl. Add the melted butter and mix with a fork until thoroughly combined. Press the mixture into the prepared pan. Bake the crust at 350 degrees oven for 20 minutes or until lightly browned around the edges. Don't turn off the oven.
  3. Whisk sugar, 1/4 cup flour and baking powder together to break down any clumps. In a separate mixing bowl, beat the eggs until light. Stir the sugar mixture into the eggs, making sure all the dry ingredients get mixed in. Stir in the lime juice and tequila.
  4. Pour the filling mixture over the warm crust and return to the 350-degree oven. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until top is golden. Cool completely and remove from the pan, using the ends of the foil. Chill and cut into squares.
