Halloween Jell-O Poke Cake
- 18 ounces, weight Fudge Marble Cake Mix
- Additional Required Ingredients Specified In Mix Package (typically Water, Eggs And Oil)
- 3 ounces, weight Orange Gelatin/Jello Mix
- 1 cup Boiling Water
- 1 cup Cold Water
- 1 stick Butter, Softened
- 3-1/2 cups Confectioners Sugar
- 1/3 cups Baking Cocoa
- 1/4 cups Milk
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
- Candy Corns Or Harvest Mix, For Garnish
- Halloween Sprinkles, For Garnish
- Prepare and bake cake according to package directions (you'll typically need water, eggs, and oil, as directed in mix package), using a greased 13-inch x 9-inch baking pan. Cool on a wire rack for 1 hour. In a small bowl, dissolve gelatin in boiling water; stir in cold water.
- With a meat fork or wooden skewer, poke holes in the cake about 2 inches apart. Slowly pour gelatin over the cake. Refrigerate for 2-3 hours.
- For the frosting, in a small bowl, cream butter until fluffy. Beat in the confectioners' sugar, cocoa, milk and vanilla until smooth. Spread over the cake; top with candy pumpkins, candy corns and sprinkles. Cover and refrigerate until serving.
