Chocolate Almond Cookies
- 1 cup Butter (No Substitutes)
- 1 cup White Granulated Sugar
- 1 cup Golden Brown Sugar
- 2 whole Eggs
- 2 teaspoons Almond Extract
- 4 cups All-purpose Flour
- 2 teaspoons Baking Soda
- 1/2 teaspoons Salt
- 1/2 cups White Granulated Sugar
- 1 cup Melted Chocolate (whatever Preference You Have)
- In a mixing bowl, cream butter and sugars (1 cup of each). Beat in eggs and almond flavor. Beat until fluffy.
- In a smaller bowl combine flour, baking soda, and salt.
- Add to creamed mixture. Mix until dough forms. Dough will pull away from bowl when it's ready.
- Roll into 2 inch balls and then roll balls into white sugar.
- Bake at 350 degrees (F) for 10 minutes or until lightly browned. Cool on wire racks.
- Melt chocolate. Drizzle cookies with the melted chocolate.
- Enjoy!
- For a twist, drizzle preserves on top of the drizzled chocolate!
