Chocolate Almond Cookies

  1. In a mixing bowl, cream butter and sugars (1 cup of each). Beat in eggs and almond flavor. Beat until fluffy.
  2. In a smaller bowl combine flour, baking soda, and salt.
  3. Add to creamed mixture. Mix until dough forms. Dough will pull away from bowl when it's ready.
  4. Roll into 2 inch balls and then roll balls into white sugar.
  5. Bake at 350 degrees (F) for 10 minutes or until lightly browned. Cool on wire racks.
  6. Melt chocolate. Drizzle cookies with the melted chocolate.
  7. Enjoy!
  8. For a twist, drizzle preserves on top of the drizzled chocolate!
