Chocolate Pixies
- 2 c. flour
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/4 c. butter
- 4 oz. unsweetened chocolate
- 2 c. sugar
- 4 eggs
- confectioners sugar
- Heat oven to 300u0b0.
- Sift together flour, baking powder and salt.
- Reserve.
- Melt butter and chocolate; remove from heat and let cool.
- Add granulated sugar and eggs, mixing thoroughly after each egg.
- Beat for 1 or more minutes.
- Add the dry ingredients and mix well.
- Mixture will be stiff.
- Remove dough from bowl, scraping sides with a spatula.
- Wrap in wax paper and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, preferably overnight.
- Shape dough into 1-inch balls and roll in confectioners sugar.
- Lightly grease cookie sheets.
- Place balls 3 inches apart and bake for 18 to 20 minutes, or until tops are set.
- Cool on wire racks.
