Yogurt Dinner Rolls
- 1 c. plain low-fat yogurt
- 1 Tbsp. margarine
- 1/4 c. water
- 2 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 pkg. active dry yeast
- 1 1/4 c. white flour
- 1 1/2 c. whole wheat flour
- 1/4 tsp. baking powder
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp. oregano
- 1 tsp. marjoram
- 1 tsp. basil
- 2 Tbsp. onion, grated
- In a saucepan, heat together yogurt, margarine, water and sugar until margarine is melted.
- Set aside and let cool to lukewarm.
- In a large bowl, combine yeast, 3/4 cup white flour, 3/4 cup whole wheat flour and baking soda.
- Add cooled liquid mixture to yeast flour mixture and then add egg, spices and grated onion.
- Beat at low speed with an electric mixer for 30 seconds.
- Beat 3 minutes at high speed.
