Morning Glory Steel Cut Oats
- FOR THE OATMEAL:
- 4 cups Water
- 1 cup Steel Cut (Irish) Oats
- 1 dash Sea Salt
- FOR THE OPTIONAL ADD-INS:
- 3 Tablespoons Grated Carrot
- 2 Tablespoons Raisins
- 3 Tablespoons Chopped Walnuts
- 2 Tablespoons Chopped Apples
- 2 dashes Ground Cinnamon (or To Taste)
- Maple Syrup, To Taste (optional)
- Bring water to a boil in a medium sized pot. Add steel cut (Irish) oats into the water. Cover the pot and turn off heat.
- Go to bed!
- When you wake up, the oats will be cooked. Just sprinkle with sea salt, stir, and turn the stove on medium heat for 3-5 minutes to heat up. Top with desired toppings and eat!
- Optional: Add shredded carrots, raisins, walnuts, chopped apples, and a wee bit of cinnamon. Sweeten with maple syrup if desired.
