Sweet And Sour Beef Stew

  1. Cut meat into 3/4-inch cubes.
  2. Brown meat in oil.
  3. In the same pan, combine all the other ingredients except the cold water and cornstarch.
  4. Cook over low heat until the meat is tender, about 1 1/2 hours.
  5. Blend in the cold water with cornstarch and add to the stew.
  6. Serve over the noodles, cooked per package directions. Makes 4 to 6 servings.
