Mushy Peas With Bacon

  1. Saute butter and minced shallot in a large saute pan over medium-high heat for 3 minutes. Add garlic and cook for 1 minute.
  2. Add frozen peas and vinegar, cook for 5 minutes. Add cream, salt, and pepper, and cook for another 5 minutes.
  3. Remove from heat and place in a large mixing bowl with fresh mint. Mash peas with a potato masher or using a large fork. Crumble bacon and fold into pea mixture.
