My Mom’S Coffee Cake

  1. For the Cake:
  2. In a mixer or food processor, combine flour, baking powder, salt, sugar and cold butter. Reserve 3/4 cup of this mixture for the topping. Add 1 cup of milk to the remaining cake mixture and mix until smooth. *You don't want to over mix because then the cake will be tough!*
  3. Pour the batter into a greased 8x8 baking dish.
  4. For the Topping:
  5. Combine the melted butter, cinnamon, brown sugar and the 3/4 cup of reserved cake mixture. Mix well and sprinkle on top of the cake batter.
  6. Bake for 30-35 minutes at 350 degrees F until slightly golden brown and the toothpick comes out clean. Enjoy!
