Milky Wonder Cake
- 6 Milky Way candy bars
- 1/2 c. butter
- additional 1/2 c. butter
- 2 c. sugar
- 4 eggs
- 2 1/2 c. sifted flour
- 1/2 tsp. baking soda
- 1 1/4 c. buttermilk
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 c. chopped nuts
- 1 1/4 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. evaporated milk
- 1/2 stick oleo
- 1/2 c. marshmallow cream
- 1 (6 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips
- In a double boiler, combine candy bars and 1/2 cup of butter. Melt.
- While candy melts, cream additional 1/2 cup of butter and sugar until fluffy.
- Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each.
- Add flour and soda mixture alternately with buttermilk. Add melted candy, mixing well.
- Stir in vanilla and nuts.
- Pour batter into greased and floured pan (this is too much batter for a 9 x 13-inch pan).
- Bake in a preheated 350u0b0 oven for approximately 25 minutes.
- Do not overbake.
- Cake is done when toothpick comes out clean.
- Allow cake to cool.
