Healthy Batter “Fried” Broccoli
- 1 head Broccoli Cut Into Florets
- 1/2 cups All-purpose Flour
- 1/2 cups Low Fat Milk
- 1 whole Egg
- 1 Tablespoon Olive Oil
- 1/2 teaspoons Baking Powder
- 1/2 teaspoons Salt
- 1/4 teaspoons Pepper
- 2 ounces, weight Parmesan Cheese, Divided
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, milk, egg, oil, baking powder, salt, pepper and 1 ounce of the grated cheese.
- Dip the broccoli florets into the batter and spread out on a baking sheet that has been lined with parchment paper.
- Bake in a preheated 350 degree F oven for 15 - 20 minutes, flip the florets and continue baking for another 15 - 20 minutes until lightly golden brown.
- Top with the remaining grated cheese and serve either as a vegetable side dish or a cocktail snack with your favorite dip.
