Nutty Fruit Conserve

  1. In a large pot, combine the first 6 ingredients.
  2. Cook and stir over medium heat until mixture thickens, about 20 minutes, adding the almonds during the last 5 minutes.
  3. Quickly stir in pectin. Bring to a full rolling boil; boil for 1 minute, stirring constantly.
  4. Remove from the heat.
  5. Skim off any foam.
  6. Pour hot into hot jars, leaving 1/4-inch headspace.
  7. Remove air bubbles. Adjust caps.
  8. Process for 15 minutes in a boiling water bath. Yields 5 pints.
