Honey Barbecued Broilers
- 3/4 c. butter or margarine
- 1/3 c. vinegar
- 1/4 c. honey
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. dry mustard
- 1/2 tsp. dried marjoram, crushed
- dash of freshly ground pepper
- 3 broiler-fryers (2 lb. each), halved lengthwise
- Combine butter or margarine, vinegar, honey, garlic, salt, mustard, marjoram and pepper; mix well.
- Place chicken, skin side down, on grill.
- Tuck wings under.
- Broil over low coals for 20 minutes.
- Generously brush broiled side of chicken with honey sauce; turn.
- Broil 10 minutes.
- Brush with sauce and turn.
- Broil 5 minutes more.
- Remove from heat.
- Just before serving, brush again with sauce.
- Makes 6 servings.
- Enough sauce for 10 to 12 breasts.
- Very good!
