Chicken Casserole
- 3 c. cooked chicken
- 1 can cream of chicken soup
- 1 can water chestnuts, sliced and drained
- 1 (4 oz.) can mushrooms
- 2/3 c. mayonnaise
- 1/2 c. chopped onion
- 1/2 c. chopped celery
- 1/2 c. sour cream
- 8 oz. can crescent rolls
- 2/3 c. Swiss cheese
- 1/2 c. slivered almonds
- 2 to 4 Tbsp. margarine
- 1 box chicken Rice-a-Roni, prepared as directed
- Mix together chicken, soup, water chestnuts, mushrooms, mayonnaise, onion, celery and sour cream.
- Line bottom of 8 x 13-inch baking dish with rice.
- Pour chicken mixture over top. Top with Crescent rolls like crust.
- Drizzle with butter, top with cheese and almonds.
- Bake at 325u0b0 for 25 minutes.
