Easy Chocolate Peanut Butter Gooey Butter Cake

  1. To make the crust:
  2. Combine the cake mix, 1 egg, and 8 tablespoons melted butter. Press this mixture into the bottom (and slightly up the sides) of a 9x13 cake pan.
  3. To make the filling:
  4. In a stand mixer (or using a hand mixer) combine the cream cheese and peanut butter until well mixed. Add 2 eggs and mix until combined. Next add 8 tablespoons of melted butter and vanilla and mix until combined. Last, add the box of powdered sugar and mix until thoroughly combined.
  5. Pour the filling on top of the crust and bake at 350 degrees for 40-50 minutes.
  6. You want the center to be a little gooey, so don't overbake it.
  7. Let cool to room temperature and serve!
