Low Fat Fruit Dump Cake

  1. Preheat oven to 350u0b0F.
  2. I baked a small dump cake in a loaf pan. Of course, you can go smaller or larger if you prefer.
  3. Spray pan with non-stick spray. Put enough fruit in to cover the bottom of the pan well. If using a berry, squish them up a little to release some juice. (I used a potato masher.)
  4. Cover fruit with dry angel food cake mix. If making a smaller dump cake, you might not use the whole package. We used about 1/3 of a box for our loaf pan-sized cake.
  5. Slowly pour water over the layer of dry cake mix. Just using enough to cover the dry mix. I like to sprinkle it with cinnamon for some spice, but that's totally optional.
  6. Bake at 350u0b0F for 30-50 minutes depending on the size of your cake. Use a toothpick to stick in, and if it comes out clean of cake mix, it's ready. The toothpick will have some berry/fruit juice, of course.
