Delicious One Hour Dinner Rolls
- 1 Tablespoon Yeast
- 1/2 cups Warm Water
- 5 Tablespoons Powdered Honey, Divided
- 1-1/4 cup Milk
- 5 Tablespoons Unsalted Butter, At Room Temperature, Plus Extra For Brushing On The Rolls After Baking
- 2 whole Large Eggs
- 1 teaspoon Pink Salt
- 4-3/4 cups White Spelt Flour, Or As Needed
- Preheat oven to 400 F. Set two 12-count muffin tins aside.
- Measure out yeast and put it into 1/2 cup of warm water. Pour 1 tablespoon of powdered honey over it and set aside.
- Put the milk into a microwave-safe dish. Scald milk by microwaving it for 2 minutes. Add butter and melt it into the milk. Set it aside and let cool.
- Meanwhile, beat eggs with a fork in a large bowl. Add the remaining 1/4 cup (4 tablespoons) powdered honey and salt. Pour milk and butter mixture into the bowl. Mix together and let cool if still warm.
- Add yeast mixture to the cooled mixture. Add 4 or more cups of flour and mix until dough has the right consistency. It shouldn't be sticky. Knead dough for 5 minutes. Cover with a towel and place in a warm area to let it rise for 25-30 minutes.
- Pinch out 1-inch sized smooth balls and place 3 together into each well in a muffin pan (recipe makes roughly 24 rolls, each consisting of 3 balls). Bake at 400u0b0F for 8-10 minutes. Brush with butter when out of the oven and serve.
