Double Chocolate Sugar Cookies
- 1 (12 oz.) bag semi-sweet morsels, divided
- 1 c. butter, softened
- 1 c. sugar
- 1 large egg
- 2 Tbsp. milk
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 3 c. all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. baking soda
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 c. sugar
- Melt 1 cup semi-sweet morsels in heavy pan over low heat.
- Set melted morsels aside.
- Beat butter with mixer until fluffy. Gradually add 1 cup of sugar, beating well.
- Add egg, milk and vanilla.
- Mix well.
- Add melted morsels and mix.
- Combine flour and next three ingredients.
- Gradually add to butter mixture.
- Mix well.
- Stir in remaining morsels.
- Roll dough into balls, one tablespoon at a time.
- Roll balls in 1/2 cup of sugar.
- Place on lightly greased sheet.
- Bake at 400u0b0 for 8 to 10 minutes.
