Grandma Violet’S Cranberry Citrus Snack Bread

  1. Preheat the oven to 350u0b0F. Grease 2 loaf pans (9 x 5 x 3 inch pans).
  2. Sift the flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and baking soda into a large bowl. Cut in the shortening.
  3. In a separate container, mix the orange zest, juice, and beaten eggs. Add to the dry ingredients.
  4. Fold in the berries and nuts.
  5. Turn into the greased loaf pans. Bake 1 hour. Cool in pan.
  6. When cool, cover in plastic wrap and let sit overnight.
