Cinnamon And Sugar Roasted Nuts
- 4 cups Nuts
- 1 whole Egg White
- 1 teaspoon Cold Water
- 1/2 cups Granulated Sugar
- 1/2 teaspoons Ground Cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoons Salt
- Preheat oven to 250 degrees.
- Separate egg white into a bowl and beat lightly.
- Add cold water and beat mixture until frothy, but not stiff.
- Add nuts (I typically use almonds or walnuts) to the bowl and stir until the nuts are coated.
- In a separate bowl, mix sugar, cinnamon, and salt.
- Add the sugar mixture to the nuts and again stir until nuts are coated.
- Spread nuts evenly on a greased baking sheet
- Bake for 60 minutes, occasionally stirring/flipping/moving the nuts around.
- After 60 minutes, pull them out of the oven and allow them to cool ... or try them right away and suffer the burnt-tongue consequences!
- Note: the serving amount is based on a typical serving amount of a 1/4 cup for almonds or walnuts.
