Chocolate Chip Layer Cake
- 1 box Yellow Cake Mix (18.25 Ounce Box)
- 1 box Instant Vanilla Pudding Mix (1.4 Ounce Box)
- 3/4 cups Vegetable Oil
- 4 whole Eggs
- 1 cup Sour Cream
- 3 Tablespoons Unsweetened Cocoa Powder
- 6 Tablespoons Sugar, Divided
- 1 bag Chocolate Chips (12 Ounce Bag)
- Preheat oven to 350u0b0F.
- In a large bowl using a mixer beat together the cake mix, instant pudding mix, oil, eggs and sour cream for 10 minutes (yep, that's 10 whole minutes!) and set aside.
- In a medium sized bowl, mix cocoa powder and 3 tablespoons of sugar. Add chocolate chips to cocoa/sugar mixture and stir well.
- Grease a 9-inch bundt pan and coat it with the remaining 3 tablespoons of sugar.
- Pour about a third of the batter into the pan then add approximately one third of the chocolate chip mix to make a layer.
- Repeat this step twice to make three layers of cake mix and three layers of chocolate chips, ending with chocolate chips.
- Bake one hour and ten minutes.
