Shrimp Mousse(Excellent For Open House)
- 2 c. sour cream
- 2 c. mayonnaise
- 2 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened
- 6 c. cooked shrimp, finely chopped (approximately 4 lb.)
- 1/2 c. each: finely minced green onion, green pepper and pimiento
- 1/2 c. chili sauce
- 2 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 1/4 tsp. Tabasco sauce
- 1 tsp. salt
- 2 Tbsp. unflavored gelatin
- 1/2 c. water saved from boiling shrimp
- 2 Tbsp. lemon juice
- Cream sour cream, mayonnaise and cream cheese together in bowl. Add shrimp, vegetables, chili sauce, Worcestershire sauce, Tabasco sauce and salt; mix well.
- Soften gelatin in shrimp water and lemon juice in saucepan.
- Cook over low heat until dissolved.
- Add to cream cheese/shrimp mixture; mix well.
- Pour into large mold; chill until firm.
