Elaine'S Chocolate Birthday Cake

  1. Preheat oven to 375u0b0.
  2. Cream butter; add sugar gradually and cream well.
  3. Add 3 eggs, one at a time.
  4. Beat well after each egg. Add melted chocolate.
  5. Sift 1/3 cup flour into batter.
  6. Mix well and add 1/3 of the sour milk; mix slightly.
  7. Repeat, ending with flour (secret - mix slightly).
  8. Mix vanilla with boiling water; add to batter and mix.
  9. Put in 3 (9-inch) cake pans, greased and lined with wax paper on bottom.
  10. Pour batter into pans and bake 20 to 25 minutes at 375u0b0.
  11. Cool for 10 minutes and remove.
