5-Minute Fudge
- 1-1/2 cup Sugar
- 2/3 cups Evaporated Milk
- 1/4 cups Butter
- 1/4 teaspoons Salt
- 2 cups Regular Size Marshmallows (pack Them Into The Measuring Cup)
- 12 ounces, weight Nestle Semi-sweet Chocolate
- 1/2 cups Chopped Nuts (optional)
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla
- 1. Combine sugar, milk, butter, and salt in a sauce pan and bring to a boil, stirring constantly over medium heat.
- 2. Boil 5 minutes (set your timer-five minutes is a LONG time to stir) over medium heat, stirring constantly.
- 3. Remove from heat, add the marshmallows and semisweet chocolate pieces.
- 4. Stir until smooth (it takes a while to melt them all).
- 5. Stir in the chopped nuts (optional-if not using nuts, be sure to stir till all the little bumps are gone; nuts cover a multitude of sins in the kitchen) and vanilla.
- 6. Pour into a greased 8-inch square pan. Let sit. Cut into small squares and serve!
