Mostacelli Express
- 1 can whole tomatoes
- 1 large bay leaf
- 1 lb. hamburg
- 1/2 to 3/4 c. green pepper
- 1 tsp. oregano
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. pepper
- 1 tsp. basil
- 1 diced onion
- 1 c. tomato paste
- 1 c. water
- 1 1/2 boxes mostacelli
- Velveeta cheese and Parmesan cheese
- Make sauce in large skillet.
- Brown hamburger.
- Saute onion and pepper until tender.
- Drain grease.
- Add salt, pepper, basil, oregano, bay leaf, tomato paste, can of tomatoes and 1 cup water. Let simmer 45 minutes to 1 hour.
- Cook mostacelli according to directions.
- Layer in 13 x 9-inch pan:
- mostacelli, cheese (Velveeta) and sauce.
- Repeat.
- Sprinkle with Parmesan.
- Bake at 350u0b0 for 45 minutes.
