Mocha Ice Cream Dessert
- 24 whole Oreo Cookies, Crushed
- 1/3 cups Melted Butter
- 1/2 gallons Coffee Ice Cream, Softened (may Use Peppermint Stick Ice Cream Instead)
- 3 ounces, weight Unsweetened Chocolate
- 2 Tablespoons Butter
- 1 cup Sugar
- 1 dash Salt
- 11-1/2 ounces, fluid Evaporated Milk
- 1/2 teaspoons Vanilla
- 1-1/2 cup Heavy Whipping Cream
- 1-1/2 ounce, fluid Kahlua
- Powdered Sugar, To Taste
- 1. Combine crumbs and 1/3 cup of melted butter. Press into a 9 x 13 buttered pan.
- 2. Spoon softened ice cream on top of cookie crust and freeze until hardened.
- 3. Melt chocolate and 2 Tablespoons of butter in a saucepan over very low heat. Add sugar, salt, and milk. Then, boil till thickened, stirring constantly over a medium heat.
- 4. Remove from heat and add vanilla. Chill, stirring occasionally to prevent a skin from forming on top. When chilled, spread the mixture on top of ice cream layer and freeze again.
- 5. Whip cream using a hand mixer until thickened. Add Kahlua and powdered sugar to taste and spread over chocolate layer and freeze
