Peppermint Thumbprints
- 2 cups Flour
- 2/3 cups Cocoa Powder
- 1/4 teaspoons Salt
- 1 cup Butter, Softened
- 1-1/2 cup Sugar, Divided
- 1 whole Egg
- 1 Tablespoon Vanilla
- 1 bag (14 Oz. Size) Peppermint Hershey Kisses
- Preheat oven to 350u0b0F. In a medium bowl, combine flour, cocoa powder and salt; set aside.
- In a large bowl, mix together butter and 1 cup of sugar on medium high until fluffy, about 3 minutes. Add egg and vanilla. Slowly mix in flour mixture and mix until combined.
- Place remaining 1/2 cup sugar in a small bowl. Roll dough into 1 in balls and roll in sugar. Place cookie on a lined cookie sheet, about 1 inch apart. Bake for 5 minutes.
- Remove from oven and using a rounded teaspoon, lightly make indentation into each cookie. Return to oven for 4 minutes. Top each cookie with a Hershey Kiss and return to oven for 1 minute or until chocolate is slightly melted. Remove and flatten chocolate with a spoon.
- Let cookies stand on baking sheet for a minute to set before moving to a cooling rack.
